## What CosmicKeys is (and is not)
CosmicKeys is a web app for learning touch typing and for finding out why your typing is slow or error-prone. A typing test gives one overall number (words per minute and accuracy). CosmicKeys also breaks every session down by key, by letter pair and by finger, and turns the weak spots into practice. It is not a multiplayer racing site and has no classroom/teacher tools.

## What it measures
- Speed (WPM), accuracy and rhythm consistency for every lesson and test.
- Errors per key, and the slowest keys (average time to reach each key from the previous keystroke).
- Slowest letter pairs (transitions).
- Per-finger and per-hand results: CosmicKeys attributes every keystroke to the finger that should press it on your keyboard layout, so errors and timing can be compared finger by finger. It cannot see which finger you physically used.

## What it does with that data
- Recommends a targeted lesson for any key you miss repeatedly; the recommendation clears once you pass that lesson with high accuracy.
- Generates drills from your slowest letter pairs or most-missed keys.
- Key focus practice for any single key or numpad key.
- Custom text practice: paste your own text or code and get the same per-key and per-finger analysis (custom text stays in your browser).

## Guidance
- An on-screen keyboard that matches your layout, colour-coded by finger, with an animated marker that travels from the home key to the next key.
- Voice narration naming each key, in English, German, Swiss German, Spanish, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish.
- About 100 structured lessons per keyboard layout, from the home row to numbers and symbols; code lessons (Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, JSON) and syntax drills (brackets and braces, operators, naming conventions).

- 34 keyboard layouts: 28 full keyboards plus 6 numeric keypads.
